Success

A Success, in an Arkham Horror dice roll or Skill check, is each die showing a number greater than or equal to the number for success. That number depends on the player's status.

If the player's status is:

• normal, a success is a 5 or 6 on a die
• blessed, a success is a 4, 5, or 6 on a die.
• cursed, a success is only a 6 on a die.

One success is counted for each die showing the required number.

Shotgun

As explained on the Shotgun card, when using the shotgun as a weapon in a Combat check, each die roll of 6 is counted as two successes. This does not apply to other skill checks.
