Branding the Flesh is a cult encounter. It first appeared in the Miskatonic Horror expansion.

"This burn is an oath. You will bring souls to kneel before the alter. Do not break this oath."
If all investigators have a "One of the Thousand" Cult Membership, you are Blessed.
Otherwise, you must choose another investigator who may draw a Corruption card and gain a "One of the Thousand" Cult Membership. If he chooses not to, you are Cursed.
