Relationship is a special card. It first appeared in The Lurker at the Threshold expansion.

During setup of a game with more than one player, Relationship cards are dealt out. In a two player game, one card is drawn. In a game with three or more players, each player is dealt one card. Relationship cards describe a connection between two investigators and the benefit they both gain from it. A cardholder's partner is the player to his left. If an investigator is devoured, the Relationship cards he benefits from are discarded. New Relationship cards are not drawn when a new investigator comes into play.
