Goodbye, Mr. Whateley is the sixth scenario of Session 1 of the Arkham Spanish League.

Ancient One: Yog-Sothoth

Setup as normal, adding the Dunwich Horror expansion components and the Dunwich Horror Herald; except for this scenario each Investigator starts in a different Dunwich location of their choice. Check Whateley Farm and Sores of Sothoth below.

Only the following Investigators may be used:

Special rules

One investigator must take Walter Gilman as an ally at the beginning of the game. He replaces either one Unique Item or two Common Items of that investigator's starting equipment (fixed or random). Walter Gilman cannot be discarded or sacrificed under any circumstances.

Whateley Farm

The Whateley Farm starts with as many Clue Tokens remaining from the previous scenario or 12, whichever greater. An investigator can visit the Whateley Farm to try to gain Clue Tokens as many times as desired; to do that he/she must have an encounter first and, if after the encounter still remains in the Whateley Farm, he/she'll have to do a Lore check (-1). The investigator gains one of the Whateley Farm Clue Tokens for each success obtained on the roll. If more than two successes are obtained, a Dunwich Horror token is added to the Dunwich Horror Track. A portal opening on the Whateley Farm will not remove its Clue Tokens.

Sores of Sothoth

Before the beginning of the game, but after dealing all the starting equipment, each investigator must choose to receive either an Injury or a Madness card. The investigator who takes Walter Gilman as an ally is forced to choose a Madness card.

Winning the Game

Winning conditions are normal, as described in the base game rules.

Fever.... mindless dreams..., sleepwalking..., illusionary noises.... attraction towards a point in the sky.... and now the feeling of being used... He had to stop studying, see a psychatrist and get a hold on himself. But before that he would end with the Whateley menace!
